It's my birthday tomorrow and I'm feeling a tad nostalgic and just a little bit blue. Still, it's beautiful weather and, as weather maketh the mood, provided there isn't a howling gale (complete with thunder and lightning) sneaking up the channel, all will be well. Hmm. ;)

Loadsa stuff sorted out today. Painted the back wall of the studio with Kamakura Green - which is our approximation of chromakey green for video. Then we took a set of pictures for the station montage, which is going to be one of our gig posters. Back home and I realise that there's more work than I thought to lop us out of the background, though the green did help. Sorry if it sounds like I'm rambling. I'm g-nackered, so probably am. Still, never mind, eh! :)

News! I like starting a blog entry like that because it makes the reader (that's you, in case you hadn't realised) sit up. So, are you sitting up? Good. Then I'll begin.
We now have a Drummer, in the shape of Nick Ward and we have a Bass player who goes by the monicker of Martin Haslam. And damn good they are, too. We've been rehearsing like bunnies on heat - erm, without the bunny sex, of course - and.... Okay, scrap the bunnies on heat thing. It's a little yicky and, as the band doen't include women, you might get the wrong idea. We wouldn't want that. Unless, of course, you'll be purchasing a copy of 'Dealing with Liquids' in which case feel free to imagine us rehearsing as you want! Blimey, I should be writing advertising copy!
We do sound good, though. In the near future I'll upload some snippets for you to listen to.
The set is taking shape. We've now got eighteen songs and want twenty before we start gigging. We've plenty of material, it's a question of deciding what to perform.
I can't express how happy I am when we play. The sound is raw, live and vibrant. Like juggling a bucket full of eels. W00T!

Okay, so I'll admit that this isn't a proper blog - yet. I'm going to insert a wordpress blog here, shortly, and then it will be. It'll also be a hell of a lot easier to update for Mick and Mark and all. I say 'and all' because we'll soon have a bass player and a drummer on board. And we'll all be blogging like crazy. Or be driven crazy by blogging. One of the two.
