Kamakura's Shop Live!

The lads have been busy, and have put together 'One Voice' A CD with 8 stellar tracks. Buy it now from the shop ... Postage and Packing? Nope, they've included it in the price. Now who was it who said they had no business sense?

Nick's Tapegerm Musings are also available. The CD titled 'The Tapegerm 10' has the best of his year with Tapegerm, including 'Mental Anguish', 'MA5 - New York' and the flipping wonderful 'A Buzzy Tale'. This CD is well worth a punt.

Mick's cartoons are being turned into outrageous cards 'for every occasion' (chortle - it's lucky Mary Whitehouse left the nebula). Soon baby, soon they will have them in the shop too. Is there no end to the boys business acumen?

Bid To Gig In Space Scuppered!

As you all know in June 2008 Kamakura were aiming to be the first band to play a live concert from the International Space Station to coincide with Tony Blair's hopeful retirement - all proceeds to 'The Tony Blair Liposuction fund'

Due to financial problems this has now been postponed. Mick was heard to have said "Bollocks! I love the Blairs and would do anything to see Tony under the knife." - For those concerned Mick means this in a nicest possible way.

Management Deal in the offing

This was just going to be an announcement to tell the world we have signed a management deal to F.Jones. However the gig the lads played on the 13th August at The Smugglers has brought potential managers out of the woodwork.

"We now have three different people vying for our signatures, which is wicked!"

Mick Dorey Gets Award

Mick, who wrote the music for the filthily rude award winning 'Fanny Hill' has been told not to tell anyone he is up for an award himself. The DFA awards are handed out once every six months in Snood Perude's 'Bar Glamorous' on Sunset Strip, L.A.

"This is all very well" Mick tells me "but I don't have the fare to get there..." If anyone wants to chip in please email us soonest! Mick adds "I need the hotel paid for too, and not some shithole in south Hollywood either, thank you very much." He'll be most grateful - honestly.

Rumours ... Rumours ... Rumours!

Nick has been rumoured to have been seeing - some would say schmoozing - a bit too much of Dolores, the stunningly beautiful daughter of Selina Scott. Nick refuses to comment, but her mother is outraged and has 'sore misgivings' about the relationship. She is reputed to have said "If he lays one more finger on my little princess he'll be hearing more than 'One Voice', namely that of my solicitor."

Wanted!

The band are looking for a roadie. No money at the moment, but soon baby, soon.
